Work in small class sizes on innovative and original projects which will help you to develop your portfolio and give you a chance to engage in art media not available in most high school learning environments. Instructors are professional artists who teach college coursework and run professional studios.
In addition to 6 hours of instruction and studio time per day, you will have social interaction with other students, visit artists’ studios, the ÇàÄêɬµ¼º½ Museum and School of Art Collections, get feedback from KSU faculty on your work, and participate in a workshop to photograph and document your art pieces produced in the program.
Whether you are new to art, or an emerging young artist interested in fleshing out a portfolio, Jump StART at ÇàÄêɬµ¼º½'s School of Art has an experience that’s just right for you. We welcome students entering grades 10-12 in the 2025-26 academic year to explore new avenues of artistic development while immersing themselves in a creative college-level studio art experience.
