This is a reminder that face coverings are now required indoors at these ����ɬ���� locations:

• The Kent Campus
• The College of Podiatric Medicine
• The Cleveland Foot and Ankle Clinic
• The Cleveland Urban Design Collaborative
• The Trumbull Campus

Masks are required indoors except while working alone in an enclosed space, such as a private office or lab.

For the third consecutive term, the National League for Nursing (NLN) has designated ����ɬ����’s College of Nursing as a Center of Excellence in the category of Advancing the Science of Nursing Education. This new cycle of designation will extend from 2022-2026.

Portage and Cuyahoga counties, where ����ɬ����’s Kent Campus, College of Podiatric Medicine, Cleveland Foot and Ankle Clinic and Cleveland Urban Design Collaborative are located, recently moved into the “high” community level designation for COVID-19 as defined by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

In addition, Trumbull County, where ����ɬ����’s Trumbull Campus is located, remains at a “high” community level designation.

����ɬ����’s Division of Philanthropy and Alumni Engagement launched the university’s most ambitious fundraising campaign, called Forever Brighter, last October, creating communications and fundraising materials that share the remarkable impact of alumni engagement and donor philanthropy on the university. The division has earned 19 marketing and communications awards from multiple competitions. 

����ɬ���� has been awarded $1.5 million from the state of Ohio for the Choose Ohio First program that supports students in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).

Alvacir Wesley Kalatai Alberti of Imbituva, Brazil, is the first student to graduate from the American Academy, a dual-enrollment program offered jointly at ����ɬ���� and the Pontifical Catholic University of Parana, located in Curitiba, Parana, Brazil.

Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine has appointed Haley Dees of Lisbon, Ohio, to the ����ɬ���� Board of Trustees as an undergraduate student trustee. Dees’ two-year term runs through May 16, 2024.
