Moving Gears To Create Change

Cassandra Pegg-Kirby, director of the Women’s Center, mentioned the G.E.A.R Awards was born out of a previous event called Mothers, Mentors, And Muses, which recognized and elevated ÇàÄêɬµ¼º½â€™s faculty and staff who made a difference in a student or colleague’s life.

Celebrating International Women’s Day

ÇàÄêɬµ¼º½ celebrated International Women’s Day on March 8 with a poster presentation to allow international students the chance to highlight women in their home countries and a service project to aid Days for Girls.

The poster presentation was followed by a panel discussion of students, faculty and staff talking about women’s issues and successes across their globe.
