Governor Names Pamela E. Bobst to ÇàÄêɬµ¼º½ Board of Trustees

Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine has appointed Pamela E. Bobst of Rocky River, Ohio, to the ÇàÄêɬµ¼º½ Board of Trustees. She succeeds former Board Chair and Trustee Ralph M. Della Ratta, and she will serve through May 16, 2030.

Members of the ÇàÄêɬµ¼º½ community and people around the world will gather virtually for the 51st Commemoration of May 4, 1970, the day the Ohio National Guard fired on ÇàÄêɬµ¼º½ students during an anti-war protest, killing four students and wounding nine other students.

The state of Ohio and the Ohio Department of Higher Education announced that ÇàÄêɬµ¼º½ has been awarded Choose Ohio First grants totaling $3.5 million to support students in the critical fields of science (including health professions), technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).

Kent Fire Department to Perform Annual Prairie Burn

The protected prairie surrounding ÇàÄêɬµ¼º½â€™s Warren Student Recreation and Wellness Center will be burned on Wednesday, April 28, starting around 9 a.m. to allow for new growth during the summer season.

ÇàÄêɬµ¼º½ Formally Introduces New Director of Athletics Randale L. Richmond

ÇàÄêɬµ¼º½ President Todd Diacon and Vice President for Student Affairs Lamar R. Hylton formally introduced Randale L. Richmond as the university’s new director of athletics at a morning virtual press conference held Thursday, April 15. Richmond currently serves as senior associate athletic director at Old Dominion University.
